Five Caves

Snorkel Info:

This is a really incredible snorkel spot with tons of turtles. Be aware that in big surf this is not a spot for anyone. Even in smaller surf Five Caves can be a tricky place to put in and get out of. There are plenty of caves and you may see some snoozing sharks here. This site is only recommended for advanced snorkelers. You may also hear this site called Five Graves.

Beach Info:

There is a rocky entrance and a little bit of beach here. Not really a hanging out kind of beach. There are no facilities here.

How to Get Here:

Headed South on South Kihei Rd take a right onto Alanui. Just after you pass Makena Surf Condos look for Makena Rd. Take a right towards the ocean, in about a quarter mile you will see parking in the dirt on both sides of the road. Look for the trail and head towards the ocean, you will notice a small inlet entry, this is where you can put in.
