Aloha, this is the first fun post here and I hope you enjoy it and find it useful.

If you are looking for a great dining spot in Lahaina that won’t break the bank, Penne Pasta is for you. Mark Ellman of Maui Taco fame hit the mark with this Maui restaurant. They offer a fabulous menu offering items such as chicken parmagiana over pasta, penne pomodoro, linguine clam sauce as well as pizzas, salads and sandwiches. The best part is that nothing on the menu is more than $14.95! Part of the reason the prices are so great is that there is no waitstaff. Step up to the counter make your order, find a nice table and they will bring the food to you. We had the chicken parmagiana (which was big enough to also serve as my lunch the next day), penne broccoli and Michelle’s grilled garlic cheesebread. The grilled garlic cheese bread was excellent served with homemade focaccia with a wonderful taste of thyme it was lightly crispy and the cheese was melted perfectly. The parmagiana was excellent as well. The chicken was juicy and the coating was spot on. The penne broccoli was served with a garlic and tomato sauce that was light but tasty. We did not order dessert this time (we were stuffed) but I have had their chocolate pot de creme before and it is to die for.
Slightly off the beaten path, you can find Penne Pasta about two blocks away from the ocean on Dickenson Street off of Front Street. Â
